Reflection

My name is Anamarie Novoa. I liked this project a lot mainly because I got to learn many things I did not know about the Vietnam War. In my opinion this blog project was in convenience for me. I learned about the struggles people went through such as all the families ,mothers and children that got killed for no reason for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Many children lost their parents and ended up having no place to go, having to end up at a shelter. I did not dislike anything about the blog.

My Name is Daisy Gonzalez and i did enjoy some of this project. I enjoyed some of it because we learned more about the vietnam war from a soldiers point of views on how they felt. Also, because my grandmpa was part of it as well so i learned more about him . What i disliked about it was that there shopuld have been added more to project , it was just simply basic and easy.

My Opinion Towards the War.

I did have some troubles on understanding why we were at war. Me and most of my peers in the war would always talk about this topic on who was with the war and who was not...most of were not. Why should we be killing innocent vietnamese people who most do want communism in their country? I get it that the United States does not want communism to spread but should we really kill the innocent who are in this country? It kills me that we have to burn down villages, kill many families just so we can stop the communism. It is not necessary that we kill people that are not even part of the war.

A Little About Myself.

My Name is Earl Richard Chew (but i prefer when people call me Richard) of San Diego,California. I was born on December 16,1940 with a middle class family. Before entering the war i had already had my life set. I was married to my beautiful wife Georgetta Chew and we had two daughters name Leslie(8 yrs old) and Linda(6 yrs old).  I had my dream job which was being a car salesman but before i got drafted i wanted to own my own car dealership. Well thats a little about my lifestyle before i got drafted to vietnam.

My favorite song throughout the Vietnam War

I chose this song to show my viewers all the hard times I have been through, spending away from my family and wife. Although I have been getting through it, I miss my life back home. The lyric " Don't you know that there ain't no mountain high enough ,Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough,To keep me from getting to you baby" keeps me going each and everyday. This song has me thinking that I could not give up, it has become my inspiration to get back to my home, a cozy bed with warm nights, hot baths, hot meals most importantly my family. Nothing is to high, low, or wide enough for me now I push myself through the war and I know I will make it home to my family which I miss more than anything right this second. I am glad I get to expeirence all these moments with my viewers. I hope my family know's how much I miss them.

Lyrics: Listen, baby, ain't no mountain high Ain't no valley low ,
ain't no river wide enough, baby If you need me, call me
, no matter where you are No matter how far, don't worry,
baby Just call my name, I'll be there in a hurry You don't
have to worry .Cause baby, there ain't no mountain high
enough Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide
enough To keep me from getting to you baby.Remember
the day I set you free I told you, you could always count on me,
darling ,And from that day on I made a vow I'll be there when you
want me some way some how .Cause baby, there ain't no mountain
high enough Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide
enough To keep me from getting to you babe. Oh no darling,
no wind, no rain All winters cold can't stop me baby No, no baby,
'cause you are my love If you ever in trouble,
I'll be there on the double Just send for me,
oh baby My love is alive way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double just as fast as I can
Don't you know that there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe. Don't you know
that there ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough
Ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough....
